
In
scintillating news coming right from the den of a premiere management
institution IIM Raipur, it has created a record by placing all of its
students in the academic session of 2012-14. The students for the
2012-14 sessions are all placed by the companies as reported by a daily
newspaper. There were many international offers that were made to the
students and quite a few overseas companies took part in the placement
procedure. The highest package that was offered to a student of the
institute was 38.5 Lakh, which was from an international firm in
Indonesia.
Major
companies like CRISIL, JP Morgan Chase, Crompton Greaves, TATA Steel,
GATI KWE and many other companies came to the institute for the
recruitment procedure. There were in total of 43 national and
international companies that took part in recruiting the students with
an average package of whooping Rs. 10.6 lakh per annum.
There
were in total of 109 students in the 2012-2014 sessions, which got
placed after completion of their respective courses. Many of the
students got sales and marketing jobs, while others get luring career
opportunities by bagging posts of executive assistants to top
management, strategic sourcing, corporate planning, business and IT
consultant posts. The most number of students (27%) got placed in the
sales and marketing domain which is emerging as the primary domain in
the field of business jobs.

of the students chose operations domain while almost 8 percent students
went for the jobs in HR domain. Indian Institute of Management (IIM)
has always been on the news for its successful placement of students. It
was set up by the Government of India, Ministry of Human Resource
Development in 2010 at Raipur, which is presently the capital of
Chhattisgarh.
