As
expected Motorola has unveiled the new iterations of its popular
smartphones - Moto G and Moto X. The new Moto G is priced at Rs 12,999
and will be available exclusively on Flipkart starting midnight. Moto X
will be available later this month and the India pricing would be
revealed at that time. Moto X is available at $499 (nearly Rs 30,000) in
the US.
Motorola Moto G sports a 5-inch HD (720x1020p) display
with Corning Gorilla Glass. Powered by a 1.2GHz Qualcomm Snapdragon 400
quad-core processor and 1GB RAM, the dual-sim phone comes with 16GB
internal storage and a microSD card slot. The phone is 10.99mm thick and
weighs 149gram. It comes with water-resistant nano coating.
The phone runs Android 4.4 KitKat and comes with Motorola's own suite of
apps. Motorola has promised that the phone will get the upcoming
Android L update.
It features an 8MP rear camera and a 2MP
front-camera. It has a 2070mAh battery. In terms of connectivity, the
phone supports 3G, Bluetooth 4.0 and GPS. The phone features two front
stereo speakers.
Meanwhile, the Motorola Moto X sports a 5.2-inch full-HD (1080x1920p) AMOLED display. It features a curved metal frame
Powered by a 2.5GHz Qualcomm Snapdragon 801 quad-core processor and 2GB
RAM, the phone comes with 16GB internal storage. The phone is 9.9mm
thick and weighs 144gram.
Moto X also runs Android 4.4 KitKat and comes with Motorola's own suite of apps.
It features a 13MP rear camera and a 2MP front-camera. The rear camera
features a dual-LED ring flash and can record 4K video. It has a 2300mAh
battery. In terms of connectivity, the phone supports 3G , Bluetooth
4.0 and GPS.
